Research Portfolio

Research Portfolio Primary research Survey -  https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/RMJW95L Survey analysis -  https://online.fliphtml5.com/diioa/umma/?1621351986855 This questionnaire was for our corporate video unit, the reason we created a survey is that it helps us the people creating the video get a better understanding of who watched our video and to get a wider audience watching it outside the College department e.g. friends and family. It lets us see what we need to improve on and what was good about the video. It's also a very good example of primary research where I'm the one creating the questions and getting the answers instead of going on the internet and researching it. We got a total of 15 people that we chose to answer the questionnaire which meant we could keep it in a controlled environment where they are serious about the survey. We fitted a mixer of qualitive and quantitative question and this was done by having multiple choice questions and some text boxed ques...

The Nature and Purposes of Research

The Nature and Purposes of Research Primary research/self-generated research When a person conducts primary research, they gather their own data using surveys, interviews, observations, questionnaires, and other methods. Primary research is primarily focused on acquiring content-specific facts that may be used to solve a specific problem. Furthermore, it enables the researcher to collect first-hand data, which can be deemed more genuine and authentic in a study setting. I had to undertake my own primary research for the East Norfolk College T-Levels. I gathered data using a questionnaire that had closed questions. It was a very short questionnaire standing in at 9 questions with each questions getting more detailed with more answers given to them. I decided to only use closed questions as it would end up being more appealing to more people instead of them turning it down when it came to writing out their answer however, its a very good idea to add a couple open questions where I could...

Questionnaire Questions

Questionnaire Questions What makes a good questionnaire A great  questionnaire  is crucial to leading respondents to answer the questions in it and thus provide the data needed. The question of what makes a good questionnaire is often discussed to help enhance the efficiency of questionnaires used online to gather feedback and information. What is the purpose of the questionnaire What we need to find out is what needs changing on the college video so it can be at it's very best as this 90-second video will be displayed onto the college website for the parents and students to see to gather information about the certain subject area. A questionnaire allows to average out the scores to see what the best improvement is for that specific area. What should you ask The questionnaire should ask questions on areas the teachers and students gave out as feedback and see if the majority think it’s a good idea to change it. Also, ask some questions that can be used for any college vid...

Evaluation: Corporate Video Production

Evaluation: Corporate Video Production The school gave my class the task of making a 90-second video clip showing off each subject area whether that’s “Extra Lessons, Support subjects” and what was given to me and my partner was talking about T-Levels. These videos were going on the college website, so they had to look as professional as possible. What was your specific, allocated, role When it came to filming me, I was given the role of managing the audio levels with the boom microphone and controlling the camera used to film the side shots during the interviews on teachers. When we were filming the interview, I also read out the questions for the teachers to answer. For my partner, she had to film the straight-on shot of the teacher. During the editing process, I and my partner decided to make our own cuts which turned out mine was longer (around 2 minutes long) and my partners being around 60 seconds. What did you have to do We had to explain what T-Levels are and if you should choo...
