Pre-Production Process

The Pre-Production Process / = Couldn’t answer question due to not finding answers Type of moving image production (media forms) For the first graded task for Television and Film Production, we first watched a few 90 second videos in class on the depict website to get a rough idea of the challenge we were going to get given to us later. This website is to “challenge filmmakers to create a 90 second ultra-short masterpiece” its primary focus is to help to uncover emerging filmmakers all over the world, which shows originality, imagination and the ability to engage in just a minute and a half. After we watched a couple of short films, we got set the task of creating our own 90 second short film in four weeks. We were given a low budget and had to create an outstanding piece of film. Your film could have been any genre from; horror to comedy. The class first got teamed up randomly into groups of four. After the groups were decided we first started to brain storm some ideas ind...

Evaluation of my Continuity Sequence

Evaluation of my Continuity Sequence In groups, we created a short movie (20 shots) using a variety of angles, lighting effects, and music to build suspence during this short film. In this film you will find a protaginst (Declan), the victim (me), and the witness (Harvey). At the beginning we can see the protaginist picking up the knife where we used a close up of the knife getting picked up to build a sense of mystery. The next few shots we used long shots to give the audience a feeling of the enviroment where this has taken place. During the editting of these shots we darkened the background to add a more dark theme into a short film. During these shots the music is building up to create tension. Throught out these next shots we can see the victim minding his own business until it cuts back to the protaginist approaching him, giving him a handshake. During editting these shots we kept cutting in and out between the victim and the protaginist while the music finally builds up. T...
